Hingham Neighbourhood Plan has been produced by a steering group working on behalf of Hingham Town Council based on consultation with the local community and other stakeholders. The Hingham Neighbourhood Plan does not allocate land for housing but contains policies for the allocation of land for future community uses such as car parking and a community building.  It contains a vision, a series of objectives and a number of planning policies that seek to influence how the community grows and develops between now and 2043, (the Neighbourhood Plan cannot seek to prevent development of the town). If it passes a local referendum and is subsequently adopted by South Norfolk Council, it will become part of the statutory Development Plan for the area and will be used to help determine planning applications in the parish.

The Town Council offer the most grateful thanks to all involved in the Hingham Neighbourhood Plan making process, especially to the volunteers on the steering group.
